The gentle prod had woken Jayfeather. "Come on, Cinderheart has got a thorn in her pad. I want you to do it," Leafpool ordered, and Jayfeather groaned. He got up from his sleeping spot, and stumbled over to Cinderheart. Unfortunate for him, he was acting like a crazy badger, and tripped at her paws.
"Oh, are you ok?" Cinderheart sweetly asked, helping Jayfeather up. Jayfeather, not wanting to say anything, nodded.
"Let me see your hurt pad," he meowed flatly, as Cinderheart raised her paw. Leafpool glanced over at the two, and exited the den.
Jayfeather put his nose on her pad and felt for the thorn. He then bit into the thorn, and pulled it out with a swift, natural, movement. Little splats of blood leaked, but Jayfeather got a very small amount of cobwebs and placed it on the wound.
Cinderheart giggled. "Aw, thanks Jayfeather! Would you care to get some freshkill with me?" Cinderheart mewed softly, then blushed and looked at her paws.
Jayfeather shrugged. "Sure," he replied, and left the den with Cinderheart following behind him.
Cinderheart went over to the pile before Jayfeather, and as she passed, her tail tip touched his nose. Of course, Jayfeather blushed gently.
Cinderheart swiftly grabbed and rabbit, while Jayfeather sniffed around for something else. "Umm, Jayfeather? What are you looking for?" Cinderheart questioned quietly.
"I'm looking for a mouse," he told her in reply. Cinderheart nodded.
"There is no more mouse. How about you share this huge rabbit with me?" Cinderheart suggested. Jayfeather shrugged and nodded.
The two paddled over to the spot where Cinderheart laid her rabbit. Jayfeather sniffed when he sat down, and smelled the rabbit on his right. He then went down to take a big bite. After he was chewing, Cinderheart did the same. It just kept going on like this.
After when it was down to scraps, the two accidently went down at the same time for the same piece of meat. They both didn't know they were eat the same thing, and then their noses touched.
"Oh my! I'm so sorry!" Cinderheart apologized, and then blushed.
"Its fine. At least you didn't baby me," Jayfeather meowed, brushing his paw in the dirt. He then got up, and started to paddle away.
He didn't need to say bye to her. He was never ever going to love her, ever. She was just a mere aquatint to him, and he would never ever love her, because his heart belonged to Half Moon. He plopped down in his bedding, not knowing Leafpool was already in there.
"You love her, don't you?" Leafpool asked, her tail swishing and puffed out.
"No!" Jayfeather yelled back, then putting a snarl in his voice.
"I saw you eat freshkill with each other," Leafpool pointed out.
"So what? We were eating food with each other. Wow!" Jayfeather sarcastically hissed. He tried to read her mind, fluttering to a blurry dark, dark gray tom with blue eyes. Then, it was blocked out.
Fox Dung! Jayfeather thought.
Leafpool hissed in angry. "Never, never do the . . . Never love any cat," Leafpool fixed herself, and stalked out of the den.
Ok . . . the dark gray tom with blue eyes, her being all upset over of me and Cinderheart eating with each other. . . theres got to be a connection between love and that cat. And I'm going to find out, Jayfeather thought silently, trying to think up a plan, to get through Leafpool's thoughts.

Have you ever just stopped to watch the sunset? How does it make you feel? For me, I suppose, it creates relaxation. It helps me think. Not just of the big things, but the small things too. But it also reminds me of.........him. The one I used to love. And the one I still love. Duncan. We would watch the sunset together all the time. those were the days that were always perfect. Like my own little fairytale. I had finally found my happy ending. Or so I thought. Lets face it, it did seem too good to be true, and it was. Seriously, this is reality, and the stone cold truth is that there are no happy endings. I was eighteen at th
